As a tenant at Bakkekæret, you have access to the two large rooftop terraces where you can enjoy the view of the impressive 12,000 m² courtyard2. Both rooftop terraces are divided into different zones, where you can relax in the lounge area and enjoy communal dining under the stars. On both roof terraces you'll also find bright orangeries that you are free to use.
Gates
The large gate opening into the courtyard welcomes you and provides an exciting look at the courtyard's terrain differences. The gate is 6 meters wide and reaches the height of what is equivalent to the second floor. This provides an unobstructed view of the courtyard's planting and landscape.
Parking spaces
The parking lot at Bakkekæret is bright and safe as it is made as a plinth located at ground level. The deck is opened up, making it possible to look down from the courtyard. The parking area is public and has space for 223 cars and 890 bikes. In addition, you'll also find a bike wash for your bike that works in the same way as a car wash.
Orangery
Take part in the cultivated community or enjoy a break in one of Bakkekæret's three orangeries. Here you'll find a bright and warm climate all year round and that very special atmosphere. You'll find one orangery on each of the rooftop terraces and one on the ground.
Playground
Here the kids can form friendships on the playground while you enjoy a cup of coffee on the bench. Throughout the courtyard, there are things to explore for children - and childlike souls; great hiding places, vegetable gardens, an edible landscape and much more.

Right next to Bakkekæret runs Hørstien, which is part of the Green Wedge. It is a new public path that connects different green areas and extends all the way up to Herlev Station. This means that you can easily and safely move towards Herlev City Center via green path connections.
