The courtyard is divided into different landscape zones where you can explore vegetable gardens, picnic areas and an edible landscape. A tour of the former asphalt factory chimney is given new life as an installation in the landscape and old containers are given new life as planters, thus becoming part of the future narrative.
Bakkekæret is part of the exciting art and urban development project Haveværten, which develops concrete proposals for how art, architecture and co-creation can shape the circular urban society.
Until March 2024, Haveværten invites children, adults, microbes, animals and plants into the teardrop-shaped greenhouse on the corner where Hørkær meets the flax path, and you can experience everything from landscape walks to sensory presentations.
