Well-crafted living spaces for you

Enjoy peaceful afternoons and Saturday dinners in the family room with a well-appointed HTH kitchen inspired by Nordic minimalism and clean lines. Plenty of space has been created for gathering around the dining table with family and friends.

The materials in the bright, architect-designed apartments have been carefully selected and you can look forward to warm oak floors and rain showers in the bathroom. All apartments have their own terrace or balcony with views of life in and around Bakkekæret's green courtyard.

Life in the backyard and memories at children's height

The courtyard at Bakkekæret is laid out like a hill where nature is allowed to flourish in the middle of the city.

The block structure surrounds the large green meeting place in the middle, creating a safe and cozy environment where children, residents and visitors can establish communities across. That's why three orangeries and an extra-large community house have been added. So you can step out of your apartment and into the community.

Space for both car and bike

Due to the hilly landscape in the courtyard, the parking area does not feel like a basement, but has an opening in the deck that provides light and allows you to look down from the courtyard. All in all, you can look forward to a welcoming and safe feeling when parking your car.

The parking area is public with space for 224 parking spaces with charging stations and bicycle parking spaces, so there's no need to scramble for a parking space when family or friends are visiting. Bakkekæret also has a bike wash, which is handy if you've been exploring the Hareskoven mountain bike trails.

In Bakkekæret you get, among other things:

  • 12.000 m2 large courtyard with orangeries, vegetable gardens and a play and activity area
  • 400 m2 community house with café and bar environment, workstations, and multi-room
  • Apartments with 2-5 rooms with private balcony or terrace
  • Access to two shared rooftop terraces with orangery
  • Public underground parking with open deck and 224 spaces with charging stations
  • Bicycle parking and a bicycle washroom

Bakkekæret's architecture and vision

The red brick of the block is a reinterpretation of the classic Copenhagen block, while the courtyard's three point houses are clad with wooden slats in heat-treated wood.

Differences in terrain, the design of the facades, the landscape and the location of the point buildings make the entire development rich in experience. Everywhere there are small corners and green open spaces to explore and where people can meet.

This is how the architecture sets the stage for you to help recreate a time when good old-fashioned farm life was the focal point of unity in historic backyards.

Created with care

Bakkekæret is the first rental project that aims to achieve DGNB Platinum certification. Therefore, materials are carefully selected and there is a focus on resources. Quite simply, special consideration is given to the environment, surroundings and economy in everything from the construction phase to operation.

The bricks come from Egernsund Wienerberger and are named LESS because they have an internal cavity and are bio-fired, which has a lower carbon footprint than most other bricks. Green roofs, solar panels, rainwater collection, PVC-free materials, pollen filters in ventilation systems, targeted measures for local fauna and connected habitats are other measures to ensure that you move into a responsible, high-quality building.
